September Update

Hello All!
Greetings from the road. We're currently back on the East coast and powering up from Virginia to Rhode Island toward the second run of shows in New England.

The tour started out at Appaloosa Festival in Virginia, which is one of our favorite festivals. We have played here at least five times over the years, and every time it feels more like a reunion because all the bands are such great friends and people, and it's such a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere, while the music is still top-notch!

Also, many of the bands will also be with us on the String Break Cruise -- so definitely go check that out if you missed the festival this year! It's already almost 75% full, so it's time to reserve your cabin if you haven't already! If you are coming, don't forget to tell the cruise people you're coming to see the Gothard Sisters! ;)

Thunderstorms threatened during the weekend, but we got to play two different sets of music, and played LOTS of songs from the new album, and Dragonfly, with circles of cute dancing kids in the front of the stage. Thanks so much to everyone who came, it was wonderful to see you all!

Second in Virginia, we were back in Charlottesville for the first time in many years with a show at Thistlerock Mead Company at their outdoor ampitheater, which transforms into a magical concert space at night. There were fairy lights, special Irish dancing from the Blue Ridge School of Irish Music, signing CDs by candlelight and much more! After which we were delighted to get to taste some of their "Wildflower" mead, and have a honey tasting!

That's it for now -- time to go grab some food and get on the road so we make it to Rhode Island in time for the show! :)

Thank you all for being here, and for listening to our music.
We'll see you down the road,
Greta, Willow and Solana
