Hello All!
We've just returned from a lovely week in the sun and sand onboard the inaugural String Break Cruise in the Bahamas. It was a week full of great music, sightseeing, and fun times for all. A true music festival at sea!

One of the things that was so truly special about the cruise was getting to hang out with our friends in other bands and their families, and actually have the chance to watch their shows! Believe it or not, in the life of a professional musician it's rare to be able to watch someone else's full concert and truly appreciate the artistry and hard work that goes into a performance. At festivals we're always dashing from place to place, so to be able to spend so much time purely enjoying the music made by others was truly a gift.

Over the course of the week, we played 3 different sets and even got to debut two brand new songs that will be on the new album. We also did a fun collabwith the guys in TopHouse (who just played the Grand Ole Opry this week!) which you can see here. More on album recording updates below!

Now On to the Latest News...

1. In the Studio: Album Update
Well, it has BEEN a couple of months. Starting with the Fall Tour in September it feels like we have been go, go, go since then with multiple tours and various "life stuff" that has prevented the kind of studio time we were hoping for. HOWEVER, after the Christmas tour we were able to settle back down again into a calm enough state that two new songs emerged over the holidays, and we have slowly been working on the demos for those songs and hope to get them recorded next month.

For those who are keeping track, this will be song 8 and song 9 out of 12. So that brings us up over the halfway mark. In case you weren't here when I explained our album creation/recording process in a previous newsletter, we create albums two songs at a time. Usually one vocal and one instrumental. Then we build out the songs based on what we have so far.

I know we haven't revealed much about the new album yet, but there is so much exciting new stuff coming your way very soon, I've compiled this new *ultra secret* blog page where you can read everything that's been revealed so far for your enjoyment. Check it out:

2. Celtic Celebration Tour
The Spring Celtic Celebration tour in the Pacific Northwest is only one week away now! This will be our final tour before the album release, so make sure you get your tickets and come celebrate with us!
