November Update
Hello All!
November's greetings to you. I'm currently observing an industrious chipmunk nearby who is busy collecting seeds for the Winter. Nothing can stop this chipmunk. After attempting to jump between branches, the chipmunk has fallen out of a tree, got whacked by a blustery neighboring branch, has been attacked by crows, frozen in fright by the sounds of sirens going by and more. But this chipmunk is going to be well-stocked for the winter.
So, I think I'm inspired by this chipmunk.
Anyway, here's a quick update on what's been going on!
1. The Latest News
We're busy getting ready for the Celtic Christmas Tour, deciding on the set list and rehearsing all these lovely Winter songs that we only get to play this time of year. Some progress has been made on the new album! This includes some gallivanting in nature and up in the mountains as we film music videos (for release next year). While we were up there, I snapped this picture of the changing of seasons: it's already winter in the mountains.
NEW: 5 Days of Celtic Christmas Music
Here's something fun we've created for the season this year. As the holidays approach, we thought it would be fun to put together this little email series featuring five of our Celtic Christmas song arrangements from various albums.
Every day for five days, you get a GS Celtic Christmas song, along with the stories and inspiration behind the songs, sent directly to your inbox. We hope you enjoy this musical journey.
3. Official Music Video: Here We Come A Caroling
Speaking of music videos, it's officially time for this one to come out again! It's our version of "Here We Come A Caroling" and features a mini-tree, a string trio in the forest, presents, the "big djembe" and more!
Lastly, as Thanksgiving is approaching here in the US, we just wanted to take a moment and thank you, our listeners. Truly, we are amazed by your notes and emails about how much you enjoy the music, and we are always so grateful to get to meet you in person after the shows as well!
Every band likes to say that their fans are the best in the world, but we really think you all are quite special. And we do have evidence to back this up -- increasingly we've been getting lovely comments from venue staff and promoters after our concerts saying absolutely effusive things about you guys. "Your fans are so nice! I love your fans! Your fans are such great people!" And one of my favorites: "your fans are really intelligent -- they buy lots of wine." LOL
So thank you all, we're very grateful and are working very hard on the new music to make it as good as it can possibly be. We can't wait 'til you get to listen to it, too!
See you down the road,
Greta, Willow and Solana
