When a Song Takes a Long Time 🍁
As I’m checking in with you all today, it’s already beginning to feel like Autumn: misty mornings, spiderwebs, leaves beginning to fall — and I’m not mad about it. This is my favorite time of year, and as we cozy up in the recording studio to work on the new Celtic Christmas album between tours, I’m reminded of a very particular tune and memories of writing it.

Meet Me at Dawn is one of those wildcard tracks that ended up on the new album with all three of us wondering "where did this one come from?"
It was inspired by a story our mom was telling us a few months ago. When she was little, her dad took her on a road trip out to Arizona where they went into the superstition mountains.
Behind the Song: “Alaska Set”
“Alaska Set” is one of several tune sets on the new album, Dragonfly. These tunes were inspired by time spent in Alaska back in 2012. We played shows every day for a week at the Alaska State Fair (held in Palmer, AK), and in-between we tried to get in as much sightseeing as we could! Here are some pictures from our experience there.
