The Gothard Sisters are based in the Pacific Northwest and are known for original folk music featuring violin, Celtic influences, storytelling and nature-inspired themes.

Most of the Gothard Sisters’ catalogue consists of original compositions done in a Celtic folk style — both the musical and lyrical elements were created by the three sisters. Their older albums also feature new arrangements of traditional folk songs from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and beyond, and they have also arranged Christmas carols in a “Gothard Sisters” style.

Everything the Gothard Sisters write is family-friendly and appropriate to be listened to by audiences of all ages. It has also been noted to be soothing for those on the autism spectrum, and has been described as bi-laterally stimulating, which is relaxing for the nervous system.
