Update: We’re Back in the Studio! ✨

Early Summer's Greetings!
Today I'm checking in with you from the beautiful pacific Northwest. We've been working on a lot of things behind the scenes!

Three upcoming tours are currently in the works. We've posted the Fall Tour (all tickets are now available here). We've also been writing new music! Almost as soon as the new Christmas album came out we jumped right back into the studio and are working on new original music now.

In 2022 (was that really already TWO summers ago?!) between a lot of touring we managed to release an instrumental single called "New Horizons." (If you haven't heard it yet, listen here.) Now we play it live all the time, and it has over a million streams like the little rockstar it is, but it still isn't on an album!

Now, as Willow said the other day, "we're building a house for New Horizons to live in." And yes, it will be an all-original Celtic Folk album. You could say it's the sequel to Dragonfly. :)

The New Album Process
The way we create a new album takes a long time, usually around 8-9 months from the first idea to the final mix. One of the reasons being, rather than writing the music and lyrics all at once and then going to record it later, we prefer to create two songs at a time.

We call it the "two by two method." Usually it's one lyric song and one instrumental song at the same time. As a new idea develops into a full song idea, we'll listen to everything we have so far and it sparks ideas for the next two songs. It's slow, a bit magical, and most importantly -- it really works for us!

I can't say much about the new music yet, but I can tell you this much: at the moment I'm writing this, we're in the studio working on all the vocal tracks for songs 4 and 5.

One of them has the most layered vocal tracks we have ever recorded on a song....  but that's all I can say so far!

I also don't know anything about when the album will be done yet -- but you will surely know as soon as we do!

Meanwhile, we will be doing more touring in the second half of the year, and hopefully debuting some of the new music at the shows. So we'll hope to see you on the road!

Cheers and hope you have a wonderful Summer,
Greta, Willow and Solana
