Episode 001 - Hummingbird Sessions

It's the first episode of the Hummingbird Sessions and we're so excited to be back and doing regular concerts for you guys. This first episode features the top five songs from the last set list poll, and it seems appropriate that we're kicking off the series with a lot of fan favorites.

LIVE: Parting Glass

One of the many nights playing tunes and songs aboard the Disney Magic cruise ship in O'Gills Pub we decided to cover this beautiful traditional song. There were a few hiccups and it was definitely not perfect. This was our first performance of this song - as requested by one of the audience members.

Wandering(Official Music Video)

The song is about traveling, wandering, being rootless, the life of a touring musician. It is about impermanence. But it is also about exploring new places and cultures, gaining perspective, and the fleeting, yet valuable moments of joy and wonder we've experienced through traveling for our music.  

Of course we're not traveling at the moment - and we miss it very much! This video hopefully captures some of the adventures and beautiful sights we've seen so far.

When they chanced upon a lady so fine  / And she was the Queen of the fairies

The Queen beckoned the eldest one in  / Away from her sisters a-waiting

And the sisters walked on to the foot of the hill  / On the way home to the party 

The Queen beckoned the youngest one in  / Away from her sisters a-waiting 
‘For you I’d give power over both of them, they’d finally bow down before you’ 
‘No thank you good Queen,’ the youngest one said, ‘I’m happy as I am’ 
And the sisters climbed up to the top of the hill  / On the way home to the party 

There were three sisters walked through the fields - Rose, Marie and Heather 
Away from the fairy Queen’s lonely schemes  / 
Journeying home together 
The sisters held their party that night - 
Rose, Marie and Heather 
With laughter and music and fruits of the field  / Glad to be together
